Mom and Dad visiting
Wow it has been so long since I have updated this. I doubt I will remember all that happened but oh well. On the 27th of Feb. my mom and dad got here. They got here on my birthday. The birthday present ever. They got here about noon and he visited and then went to eat at Pings for my birthday dinner. The kids
were so excited to have them here. Ryan was home from school cause of a fever he had the day before. But luckily he woke up and no more fever. I was worried about that, I didn't want mom to get sick. She looked so good. With her being so sick the last several months it was awesome that she was well enough to make the trip. Saturday her and I went shopping and the next day we went again and I got a Cricut with my b-day money. It was on sale for such a great price and the cartridges were around 60% off so mom got me one for my birthday. Love that. Monday we went to lunch with my in laws and Tuesday they left. So we really didn't do a whole lot. Too cold and rainy to go to the coast so that was out of the question. I miss them so much. Brett said he wished he had a magic wand and then he could just make a wish and then they could live with us forever. Last time mom and dad were able to make the trip was when Brett was a few weeks old. Dad played Spider Solitaire on my laptop for hours and hours. This time it was Slingo on my DS. It was funny to see him playing a pink DS. We played bowling on the Wii and mom beat the pants off us each time. She is good. The boys loved playing that with them. I think there will be more of that when we visit this summer! Ryan has backwards day at school. He loved the fact that his pants were baggy enough that he could wear them backwards also. he had so much fun with that. Ryan is now out of school today and tomorrow. Up until an hour ago they were doing nothing but fighting. Now it is somewhat quiet. I hope it lasts. Well I know there is more but my brain can't seem to think of anything else. I will try and be better about updating this.

Few days without Matt
Not a lot has happened here which is kinda nice. I will try and remember anything, which for me is hard!! Last Thursday on the 22nd Matt went to Texas. He was going to be coming home Friday evening, but when he got Phoenix he sent me a text letting me know that he will be coming home Saturday night. I was bummed. I do not do well being by myself. But I kept busy so it wasn't so bad. Thursday afternoon my friend Cristy took Brett for me and I cleaned. Amazing what you can get done with no children interrupting you! I got him about 3 and got home in time to get Ryan off the bus. I was having a Scentsy Party that night and so I was still trying to get a few things done and get ready for that. I had 6 people show up. It was pretty fun. When it was all over with I got to call Christa and told her my total. It was so much better than I thought. I ended up getting almost 150 worth of product for only $57. So excited. I can't wait to get the stuff. The next day I chilled. Was too tired from the day before. That night was Enrichment with church and we thought there was supposed to be babysitting some of went with our kids. We got there and there wasn't any babysitting, but there was a "daddy" with a small baby who was in the gym and kept an eye on the kids. SO NICE of him. We played clue and others worked on crafts. It was a lot of fun. We got home about 9 and it took a little bit to get the kids settled down but it was nice when they finally fell asleep. Matt got home about 8:30 Saturday night. It felt good to have him home. Oh and Friday during his spelling test at school Ryan pulled out his left tooth, the one right next to the front tooth, I don't know what that one is called. So he came home so excited, since he wanted so bad to loose a tooth at school. Before Enrichment a small group was getting together and going to Panda Express. So right before heading over there, Ryan noticed that the right tooth (same as the left one he just pulled earlier) was really loose. I took a look at it and I dared him to pull it out before we got to Cristy's. I didn't think he would do it but man he did. He was just excited that the Tooth Fairy was going to give him money for two teeth!! This week has been pretty slow. Tuesday a group of us started our own little weight loss group. We are paying $1 a week and at the end of the month whoever looses the most wins that money. It was nice. I hope we can keep it going. I have talked to my mom and she is sounding better and better each time I talk to her. It is so nice to hear that. So thank you that have prayed for her.

Finally more pictures
Well I am horrible at keeping this updated. My goal is try to do better. Although just how many people look at this? I do now know. This last summer Brett learned how to blow bubbles. Ryan would try and try but just couldn't get it. Finally a couple of weeks ago he figured it out and now all they want it gum. Actually even before bubbles that is all the wanted. Don't ya just love Ryan's matching clothes? No I didn't dress him. It used to be that he wouldn't wear clothes that didn't match and now he has specific shirts and shorts that he loves to wear and that is it. I don't make him change unless we are going somewhere. We have been seeing Kassie a lot more lately and it has been fun. The always play with the Pokemon cards, there is something about those that they just love. Kassie I think like the glittery ones! And ever since coming back from Idaho the boys have been obsessed with cats. Our poor cat Pennie. She is the kind that doesn't snuggle, she is like you can pet me when I want you too, not when you want to. The boys really didn't pay attention to her at all for 7 years and now they won't leave her alone and you can just see that she HATES that. Kinda funny if you ask me. We have caught the boys locking her in their bedroom and making a bed of blankets for her and trying to get her to sleep in their beds. Poor Pennie. Well my brother in law Pete is now in Mexico. Poor Pete. He has started a blog and it is actually quite funny. It may be funny to all, but he is a very talented writer and I am for sure going to be checking hi blog on a regular basis. If anyone is interested it is The Mexico Descent on the right side of the page under favorite sites to visit. I am glad that Ryan is back in school but man Brett is BORED out of his mind, but so many times does not want to play with me. Arg. But at least it is Wednesday and Ryan get out at 12:15 today. Thank goodness. Well since Brett is bored we are going to take the cans back to Safeway. That will be something for him to do and I can add to my scentsi candle fund. Gonna have a party this month and can't wait.

A Fun Christmas

The Sunday before my mom was flown back to the hospital in SLC. She had to have another surgery to remove the blockage. The hard part was she in the hospital for Christmas. That was hard on mom and dad. But she is doing well when I talked to her today. She has eaten some solid food and that is a good sign. If she continues to do well then she can go home tomorrow. So excited about that. Thank you everybody that has kept her in your prayers. We are just hoping that she can have a bit of a break now. I feel like there is more that I was going to say but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

You must list 5 things that you love about Christmas. If you can’t limit it to 5 things, then keep going until you run out of space!Pass the award along to as many people as you like. That can be 1 or 45; it’s up to you. You must pass it on to at least one person in order to keep the Christmas cheer going.

1. I love that Jesus was born and all that he has done for us.
2. The lights, I wish all the lights could stay up all year long.
3. The Christmas tree. Each year we and grandma and grandpa Freitag get the boys an ornament. It is so fun to watch the boys put their ornaments up on the tree.
4. family, we always get together with family and hear the story of Jesus' birth.
5. Watching the boys open their gifts Christmas morning. Trying so hard to be patient until they get to open them up!
6. All the goodies. This year we are making lots of goodies like we always did while I was growing up.
7. Traditions.
